Win 98 boot disk

When I load with the boot disk, I can't use my cd-rom, HP
CD Writer 9300 series. Is there a driver I can download
onto a floppy and where can I get it?

To get a CD-ROM working with any boot disk, you need to load a driver in
config.sys and then run MSCDEX from autoexec.bat, and point it to the
handle created by the driver.

You can either make a DOS boot disk and get a DOS driver - try the
maker's web site or do a Google search for your CD-ROM and "Dos Driver",
or you can try the "generic" CD-ROM driver "oakcdrom.sys" included on
the Win98 CD-ROM. See 238666 in the MS KB for a list of what's in the
CABs - I'm assuming Win98 SE here...
