Win 2K Server Boots to an empty Desktop and cannot execute CRL+ALT

When I log on as an administrator to my Windows 2000 Server SP4 computer, it
boots to an empty desktop and as oposed to several other threads that I've
seen about this subject, I cannot access the task manager by pressing
ctl+alt+del. The only thing viewable on the desktop is the mouse pointer,
but nothing can be done. If I log on as another user on the computer it
boots normally. I can also log in as the administrator in safe mode
successfully, but cannot find the problem. The problem started after I
installed Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003 on the server, but I unistalled
it as soon as th eproblem developed to no avail. I have ran an emergency
repair process with my ERD but that did not fix this problem. What else can
it be?

My computer is a Windows 2000 Server with Service PAck 4 Domain Controller
an has the following services running: RAS, IIS, Terminal Services Host. All
services continued to work fine after the problem appeared until I ran the
ERD.

HELP!

Boot into Safe Mode, then run msconfig.exe
(http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm). Click the Startup tab,
then disable tasks from the bottom up until you can isolate the culprit.
