Win 2K installation errors

I am unable to install Win 2K Pro. First I tried to
install it over Win NT, next a clean install. Finally
formatted the drive and installed Win98 SE. Tried Win 2K
again, both over Win 98 and a clean install. All of these
attempts produce the following blue screen error at the
start of the setup process.

*** Stop: 0X0000001E (0XC000006, 0X8045E789, 0X00000000,

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Anyone got any good ideas?

Hi Dave,

Any disk overlay used on the disk such as EZBios? If so, try removing it.
If you are running Antivirus software remove it as well. If you get this
error with a clean install, then we are looking at a hardware issue and
based upon the error, I suspect a disk or controller issue. You may want to
search for a BIOS upgrade. Also ensure that the disk is configured
correctly in the BIOS.
