win 2k install on toshiba laptop

i tried to install win2k on my toshiba laptop satellite
A25-S207. the installation fails halfway. i consulted a
few websites where i found that win2k can not b properly
installed on my laptop. n if ever it is possible the usb
n lan will not work.. is that true.. i m badly in need of
win2k on my laptop. the earlier os was xp home edition.
is there any way i can install win2k successfully on my
notebook n make it work properly.
kindly help.

There is no way to install Windows 2000 on this laptop.

But if it had had WinXP home on it, I wonder why Win2000 wouldn't work?

I don't know exactly, but Home isn't like Pro, either one.
The MoBo or a hardware devices could also part of the problem, which would in turn be drivers
related.

I guessing, and "that's all I know about that subject."

There are no differences in hardware requirements for XP Pro and XP Home. They are the same base OS with some additional Admin functions, IIS, etc. included in Pro.
