win2k installation on toshiba notebook

i tried to install win2k on toshiba satellite a25-s207
notebook. it fails hafway. i also learned that this is
not a new problem vth the notebook . some people said
that the installation is not possible at all. others said
that i will have to format the HD with FAT32 and not NTFS
but in that case also the usb n lan will not work...
is there no way i can install win2k on my notebook
successfully . kindly help

Hi Huma,
I checked Toshiba's support site, and there's a wealth of information there
about Windows 2000 Professional on this laptop. That seems to indicate that
Toshiba believes this laptop will support Windows 2000 Pro. Also, I did see
Windows 2000 USB and network adapter driver downloads for this unit,
indicating these drivers will probably need to be installed after Windows
2000 is installed.

Things you should check / try:
- BIOS update (install the latest available version)
- Set BIOS options to defaults
- Test the laptop's hardware components
- Discuss with Toshiba support, to find out if additional steps are needed
to install Windows 2000 on this unit
