Is there any way I can automatically re-start
my Win 2000 machine at certainintervals?

Go to www.sysinternals.com and get their pstools (a nice collection of
cammand line utilities). There is one called psshutdown which has a command
line option to reboot. Run it as a scheduled task. HTH.

You could use Shutdown.exe from the resource kit and use a script to run it.
Is there a need to reboot? Typically you should not have to reboot unless
some app/service is causing memory leaks or something other slowness that
reboot fixes.

Tks, Scott

I'll try.
