Will Windows 2003 Server cause Windows 98 to not login?

Hi, if I upgrade my server from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 AD, will
this cause the Windows 98 machines to not be able to login. I read
this somewhere a while back on Microsoft somewhere. A friend of mine
said this happened to them and the ADS client did not help. He said
that Microsoft's official solution was to upgrade to Windows 2000 or
XP.

Thanks for any help.

SMB signing should be set like this on the DC:
HKLM->system->CCS->services->Lanmanserver->parameters->enable security
signature->1, require security signature->0

HKLM->system->CCS->services->Lanmanworkstation->parameters->require security
signature->0 and enable security signature->1.

This is equivalent to the following settings in the DC security policy :

Microsoft network server: digitally sign communications->always->disabled

Microsoft network server: digitally sign communications->if client
agrees->enabled

Microsoft network client: digitally sign communications->always->disabled

Microsoft network client: digitally sign communications->if server
agrees->enabled

These settings should be there in place.
