Greetings!

I have a Disk Drive installed on my computer presently with the following specs:

Maxtor 6Y080L0 (80 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/133)
detailed description:
Maxtor 6Y080L0 80GB Ultra ATA/133 (ATA-7) IDE/EIDE 40-pin IDC Hard Drive

I found a second drive to expand my space: will it work with my computer?
DiamondMax Plus 9 120GB ATA/133 HDD
DiamondMax Plus 9 120 GB.

All input is greatly appreciated!

Seems like it should work. Plug it in, the worst thing that can happen is that it isn't recognized.

My issue is successfully resolved. I installed the hard drive following all the instructions. Changed the jumpers. Initially, my computer did not see the drive. I had to use the hardware Device Manager to search and install it. Then I formatted it (took me about 30 min - 120 Gb) and then it perfectly worked!

Thank all people who replied and contributed.

Hello lalomar12345 and welcome to the forum :)

I'd just like to point out the issue raised in this thread has been successfully resolved as mentioned in above post.

So as much as you'd like to recommend Compaq and Dell I do feel you are wasting your time commenting here. Think, old son, just think ;)
