will sp2 update work on machine without messenger

Before the days of SP2 i decided to remove the annoying messenger poping up
everytime i boot up my machine. Now that SP2 upgrade is here!

Do I need to reinstall messenger so i dont't have corruption issues or
errors during the update?
please help!

I'm 99% certain you will be fine. SP2 will replace a very large percentage
of the OS, meaning that anything previously removed will effectively be
reinstalled. And then you can remove it again!! ;o)
