Will RIS delete Lenovo's hidden partition?

I just got a thinkpad T61 with Vista. Still have not moved from XP so I
want to deploy my standard RIS image on this unit, but don't want to loose
the hidden partition on the Thinkpad that holds some Rescue and Recovery
programs and info, etc. Will RIS destroy this hidden partition as well or
will it be hidden?

Purchase a new hard drive and install your Windows XP
image on it. Otherwise, you will loose the recovery partition.

I'm not entirely sure whether any of the tools would be of use if you
changed the o/s, if thats what you are planning

Ideally I would want to keep the recovery partion which has the Vista
Business install and all the default Lenovo utilities available so if I ever
decide to go back to Vista Business it is still there.

I don't care if the utility partition tools are compatible with XP because
the only thing I will be using on the partition is to re-image the drive
back to the factory defaults.

Doesnt the Levano have an option to create the recovery cd's / dvd, most do
After all if the hd goes west the recovery partition is of no use
