WILL NOT FIT

Liggin

Okay, So I've got issues here.

The quick: I copy bunches 'O music from CD's into WMP
Libe. I arrange playlist. I click copy to CD and confirm
all songs fit, lop off those that don't. (That say, "Does
not fit") I even run a mental check and confirm the
numbers add up. Yep! Not breaking 700MB here. So I record.
WMP cycles, converts every song, then starts record phase.

Uh-ho. Here's where trouble begins. Only 10 or so percent
through the first song, the system cuts off abruptly and
starts closing the session prematurely. The results? I
get one song says, "Complete", and the rest say "WILL NOT
FIT", even though, apparently, they did before I started
recording. And sure enough, when I pop that CD in my
stereo, I get three or four seconds of on song. That's it.
No more. Nothing.

The bitch of it is, I can record all the songs I want all
day using HP Record now. So it's not the CD'S I'm using,
nor is it my burner. Something in WMP is flaking out and I
haven't a clue what!

Can somebody please help me? And could you write to
(e-mail address removed)? I just kinda stumbled into
here. Not all that sure how to get back.

Liggin.

WMP9 is simply not a very good program. If Record Now works well for you, then
you should stick with it.

Hey now. :) You're talking about the system/XP CD burner, not WMP itself.
WMP's fine, it's just the flaky/fragile system CD burner that's the problem
child and makes WMP look bad. :\

See http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
