smooth track transition

I made a copy of my music Cd. I also, stored all of those songs in my
library (win media player)
there is this one song that, on the copy cd, when it changes to the next
song (ex: from track 6 to track 7), there is a pause.
On the original CD and in my library on WMP, there is no pause from track to
track. It blends smoothly as it should.
Question: What can I do to re-record this cd using WMP (not using the
original cd) and prevent the pause from only these 2 specific tracks. THank
you

PS.Win XP,upgraded to WMP 10 recently (but not when I made cd copy)

Both Nero and Roxio have features to eliminate 2 second gaps between tracks.
You may want to take a look at Audacity, which has many features, even where
you can blend two tracks together???

Feurio smartly recognizes the lack of track gaps and rips those songs as one
large WAV file, leaving the track markers intact. Feurio is the best audio CD
burning app on the market. It offers an unlimited trial period, but is a
bargain at $30.

thanks Byte and galley for your opinions. Actually, I already have Roxio
easy cd creator. I was reading a little on the stuff about merging tracks.
As stated in my original post, I want to blend 2 tracks together. But I
forgot to ask this next question. After blending tracks 6 & 7, will I be
able to select tracks in my car and hear song # 6 or #7??? or will it only
got from #6 to # 8 because supposedly 6&7 are one track. Hope you can
help.

If you use Feurio, the track markers are left intact. Dunno about Cheesy CD
Creator.

Good question, try it and find out. Experience is the best teacher. You'll be
surprised.
