Will I lose data on the first HDD if I Partition it

I was wondering if i would lose all my data on one HDD if
I Partitioned it.
 
If you partition the HDD where the data is stored, YES you will loose the
data. The way the data was stored on the HDD may be past the new partition
boundary.

Umm...it depends. Third-party programs like Partition Magic can adjust
partitions without losing data. But Fdisk and the Disk Management
built into XP can only delete and create partitions. If you delete a
partition, of course, you lose everything that was on it.

Not if you use Partition Magic.
