I got home from work today and the wife said she wont's to buy me a new pc and i would like to no what you think.

Well that should really fly for games and anything else you throw at it

Personally I would like to know the make of the RAM, would bin Bullguard in favour of Kaspersky, use a different make of DVD-Writer such as Plextor/NEC and also add a second DVD-ROM to aid copying, and have two seperate hard drives (one for storage) - but thats just me being fussy

After reading the posts on here about mesh we bouth now feel sick with worry.

I don't wont this to turn in to a another mesh post plz but with this beeing a top of the range mesh pc what do you think the chances are that i might get a working pc ?

Well if your that worried then perhaps you could try and cancel the order.

But your always going to get people who say they have had trouble with X, Y and Z company. So no matter what make you choose you can never be 100%.

I see many posts about Acer customers saying there not happy but I have had Acer products and only had a couple of issues with the actual product but can't fault the customer service side, so there you go.

I am more concerned about how a WONDERFUL gesture by your wife can be turned into a "worried sick" about situation than whether your new computer purchase occurs perfectly. Please think about what's really important in life...

Newf, have you read the retailers section of this forum? In fact just Google (UK as your in the US) mesh and you will see the problems that so very many people have......

It is a very fine gesture from his wife, and for that reason and the price it will be, i am sure they just want to to be in good working order when/if it arrives.

Yes, I've read enough to know that Mesh is potentially a problem.
I also know how easy it is to take a really good thing and turn it into something ugly.
No matter what Mesh does, this is a really good thing.
That's what's important. Nothing else is more than an annoyance to be dealt with, assuming that there is one...

Avoid Mesh

orcus1974, take it from a mesh customer, if you want to stay sane stay away from Mesh.
By law you can change your mind and get a full refund, it may take a month or 2 though.
If you do go ahead i really do hope you get a pc that works.

Ah, I dunno, look at it this way...

A new member posts his missus is buying him a dream system. This provokes a response or six.

Then, several days later he reveals it's from Mesh.

This Forum has a lot of threads that are critical of Mesh, because we're free, independent and not biased by big dealer's advertising fees.

Hence I think this thread may be a wind-up.

It's too unreal to be real.

I suspect some wise-ass may be trying to make a point, though not sure what.

We shall wait and see how this progresses.

Remember - never take anything at face value, always look for the hidden agenda.

Of course, I could be completely wrong, but hey - I'm a suspicious soul, which may or may not be the reason I'm still alive

Anyway the last couple of days i have been on to trading stadereds and mesh to find out my rights and have been toled i will get some cool off time 2 weeks from the time i recive the pc to send it back.
i have also been looking thorw the hexus website for ppl with the same pc who have had any types of problems there is 1 or 2 on there but Davey seems to have sorted them out pritey fast.
Sorry for my spelling but im dislixsic.
I will get the pc in 5 0r 6 days.
Can you plz not close this post in case i need or help plz.
