Wierd IE browser behavior

Noticed some were IE browsing behavior starting in April (at least thats when other users and I noticed it) where the browser will respond faster when you goto a site typing "http://www.randomsite.com" rather than just "www.randomsite.com" where it will hang (the world spinning in upper right) and act like it is having trouble finding the site. Pretty weird

All browsers are configured as Web Proxy Clients for the ISA Server, but the ISA server is configure and functioning as it always had. Getting great cache hit ratio at 60%

Have went the spyware route, but hasn't really been the definitive answer or solution

Any suggestions would be appreciated
