wierd home network logon prob

newbi to home networking, have 2 xp pro computers via a dsl router, i am
sure i have them both configured the same, but when i go to browse one pc
from another (via view workgroups - which reveals both computers) i am asked
for user name and pass for one pc, but the other does not give me the option
it has a greyed out guest name and will not accept a password? both pc's
have xpsp2, both have guest account disabled.
Any advice appreciated

Are you running XP Pro? Have you enabled File and print Sharing on both
machines? Are you running any other firewall software besides the XP 2
Security Center? These are factors in determining the exact issue. Have you
run the network setup wizard on both machines?

Thanks, had different file sharing settings on each pc, havent run home
network wizz as i only wanted to map a couple of locations
