Widows Update

I have tried in vain to get Windows Update to work. it
will find the updates but will not download them onto my
pc.
I am running Norton Anti Vitus 2003 plus Norton Firewall
2003.
How can I get it to download and update my system.
My version on XP is an upgrade from Win 2000 pro.

Hi!
Start>Run and type in: regsvr32 wintrust.dll.
or,Start>Run and type in CMD. At the command prompt, type the following
commands, press ENTER after each line:

net stop cryptsvc
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2
net start cryptsvc

Next try the install again.
