Greetings,

I have a new BenQ 19" Widescreen with native res
1440 x 900

My video is onboard S3 ProSaveDDR.

I have updated both monitor and S3 drivers, and Windows updates.

But,
I cannot see 1440 x 900 option - even with UltraMon.

Is it my S3? or what?

Probably. Not all video cards (and unboard graphics) support all the wide
resolutions.

You'll need to purchase and install a dedicated video card that
supports widescreen resolutions.

If the graphics hardware supports resolutions higher than 1440x900, then one can set a custom resolution of 1440x900 using third-party tools, or using the software tools supplied with S3 cards. Check with S3 support for more details.
