My system has been unstable of late and incredibly slow at start up. I did a selective startup and found the Windows Image Aquisition (WIA) service to be the culprit. Just browsing the newsgroup, it seems to have been a common problem for a number of people. I've just turned the thing off and the computer seems to be runing a lot better. Is this going to cause any issues in terms of system stability. What does this program actually do? Is there a fix for this problem?
