WIA Driver file for Windows XP

I've recently purchased a Canon Powershot A710 IS and have successfully
installed the software. I downloaded the USB WIA Driver from the Canon
website to assist in connecting the camera to the computer, but the error I
get when nearly completing the WIA Driver install is "WIA Driver file for
Windows XP not found" and the installation fails to complete.
I do not have a pre-installed Windows XP computer and need to find out how
to get the driver file so I can use the software.
Any suggestions??...

Instead of getting frustrated trying to
install software...my suggestion would
be to purchase a USB card reader.

Maybe the following article will offer
some ideas.
