Wi-Fi Question

I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop and would like to upgrade to an "N" card
adapter.

Under "Device Manager" it shows that the following adapter is installed:
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

Could this card be replaced with the following: Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link
4965AGN ?

Under some of the 4965AGN posted information, it states that this cannot be
done with an IBM laptop. Since Lenovo was "was" IBM, is this a problem.

If it can be done, is it difficult?

"It depends". Some makes have the BIOS locked so for example, try to put
an Intel wifi card into a HP NC6220 and unless it was sourced from HP,
it'll refuse to play with it even if it looks identical.

Other than that, you need to find out what edge connector it uses - some
are about 2.5" wide, others half that. Getting to it is a possible issue
however Lenovo do great service manuals on their website.
