why is it that microsoft just plain sucks? windows has been sucking ever
since it came out. crashing, system errors, viruses. microsoft word is
probably the worst word processing app ive ever used. and that stupid paper
clip needs to get some brains. and what kind of company makes such horrible
products, and then charges $35 for damn customer support?! oh but there are
these help forums right? yes of course, these forums, that coincidentally
stop working for months at a time. MICROSOFT IS BULLSHIT!

While it might have been true, at least sometimes, during the Windows 95
and pre 98SE days, since 98SE, windows (with the exception of Me) has
been very stable - at least as stable as Linux in all its versions.

As an example, I have more than 1500 XP SP2 systems running all the time
with many applications and never have a BSOD or fault during months of
use.

HAHAHAHAA ... only in your dreams Windoze fanboy.

Tell us why this ng is so full of people reporting crashed and f&cked up
systems, if it is so damn stable. What a load of crap.

Yeh sure. Oh, and that tooth fairy ...

Why is it that you are such a whiney idiot?

Crashing: Hardware issues, software conflicts, inadequate power supply, and
dozens of other things can cause crashing.

System errors: see explanation above.

Viruses: You are obviously too stupid to understand the need for Anti-Virus
software. If you have virus issues, it is entirely your fault. I have 5
computers in my home, none of them has ever had a virus.

If you don't like Word, use something else. Truth is, you are again just
too stupid to learn how to use it.

As far as the $35 charge, there are ways around them. But then again, you
are too stupid to figure it out.

I have been using these support groups for years. I have never experienced
an outage of more than 1 or 2 days at most. Your claim that the support
groups go down for months points to the fact that you are too stupid to
figure out the issue is with you and your computer, not the groups.

Do yourself a favor; get rid of your computer. Find a hobby more in line
with your mental capacity. I was going to suggest an Etch-a-Sketch, but
then I remembered it has two knobs, and you are too stupid to figure out how
to use them effectively. Perhaps Play Dough is more appropriate for you.

I know I used some big words in this post. Perhaps you could find someone
outside your immediate family that has progressed past the third grade to
help you with the hard words. If not, I will not be concerned, as you are
too stupid to worry about.

You give the typical Windoze fanboy response - blame the user. So Mr.
Smartguy, what about those viruses that aren't stopped by your anti-virus
software? Here's an example from today's news ...

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2006/03/attacks_on_internet_explorer_f_1.html

Microsoft's answer is to stay away from web sites you don't trust! Yet this
malware has been found on an insurance company's website, a shipping
company and over 200 other "legitimate" website with 10 new sites being
infected each hour. The virus will keylog all your info and ftp that info
out. There goes your credit card info, passwords, etc. Norton anti-virus
doesn't see this and doesn't protect you. Nor does any other anti-virus
software at this time.

So, do tell us, who is so damn stupid around here. I suggest it is those
like you who blame the end-user and think they're so damn smart while
continuing to use the most insecure operating system in the world.

Nope, not a dream or illusion, I been working with computers since the
70's, designed boards through the 80's, happen to understand hardware
and software (since I started programming in the 70's), and don't have
any delusions about people with unstable systems, fact is that mine are
spec'd to be stable, run stable apps/releases, and don't fault. I've not
seen a BSOD in more than a year.

Yeh sure. Oh, and that tooth fairy ...

Just because you're not capable of building and maintaining a stable
system doesn't mean that others are suffering from your level of
incompetence.
