why won't my outgoing emails be sent and replies/forwards sent?

My Test messages go through okay, my reply/forwarded messages are sent okay
but new emails sit in the outbox. I get an error messages each time the
messages fail to be sent. The message says" The specified server was found
but there was no response from the server. Please verify thar the port and
SSL information is correct"
 
Do you have 2 or more email address's setup? If so make sure that both are
working to send and recieve. I would recommend coping down all your email
settings and then go to "Tools" - > "Email Accounts" -> "View or Change .."
then remove all accounts, then exit outlook. Open outlook and set the
accounts up again check that all accounts send and recieve with no errors
with outlooks test. Close outlook and Reopen it and then try a send /
recieve. If that works try sending your self a email, then try sending some
else a email.
