E-mails don't appear to be sent automatically

Whenever I try to send a message it sits in the Outbox until I click on
Outlook Connector. Even then I occasionally get a message saying that the
server was "offline" and the message could not be sent. How do I set up so
that messages are sent automatically as soon as I click "Send?"

Since you are using the Outlook Connector add-on, you are using Hotmail
accounts. That's the only reason to use that add-on. If so, maybe
you'd be interested in using standardized POP to access your Hotmail
accounts rather than relying on an add-on that adds support for
Microsoft's proprietary Deltasync e-mail protocol and which seems to
have always been flaky. Microsoft re-added POP/SMTP access to freebie
Hotmail accounts (well, for the Live Hotmail accounts, that is).

Of course, this is POP access, not the IMAP-like Deltasync access. If
you still want the IMAP-like behavior of Deltasync then you have to
continue using the Outlook Connector add-on.

Thanks. this was helpful. Now all I have to decide is whether I want to go to
standardized POP. I am using Outlook for my emails as opposed to going in
through my.msn.com and using hotmail.
