Sending E-mails

When I was using Outlook 2000, and sent E-mails to the Outbox, they would not
immediately be sent until I clicked on the SEND / RECEIVE button; ...or, if
they sat in the Outbox for a long time, then they would eventually be sent; I
liked and prefer this; ...but now since upgrading to Outlook 2007, the
E-mails are send automatically after I clicked on the SEND button in the
E-mail, or when completing a Mail Merge, but before I click the SEND /
RECEIVE button. How do I set my Outlook so that my E-mails I send to my
OUTBOX will not be sent immediately, but rather until I click on the SEND /
RECEIVE button. Thank you.

What do you mean "Mail Account type?" I'm not connected to MS Exchange; I'm
connected directly to a cable high-speed hookup.

Depends on your mail account type which you did not post.

Exchange, POP, IMAP, HTTP would be the expected answers to the qestion "what
type of account are you using?"

It's a POP3 connected by cable. Thank you.

You should be able to disable the "Send immediately when connected" option.
Is there a Tools>Options>Mail Setup dialogue?
