trouble to send e-mails

Ayla

I am using Vista, and Outlook 2007. I was able to receive and send e-mails
before, but recently I could not send e-mails. E-mails are staying in Outbox
without being sent. Additionally, Outlook icon on the right bottom bar looks
"offline". Why did it happen?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,

Have you tried going "Online"? (Tip - File-Work Online.......)

Thanks for the "tip" Gordon, I did what you said, but then when I was trying
to send an e-mail the following message appeared: "
Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your
e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your
account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.'"

What should I do next? Thanks-million!

err what it says in the message! - check that your logon details are EXACTLY
as per the ones that Comcast gave you when you set up the email account...

My guess is that the SMTP port is incorrect. Comcast changed it from 25 to,
I think, 587 (but the OP should check the Comcast web site).
