Why Won't My Movie Play?? I've Done This Before!

Hello:

I need to insert a movie as part of a PowerPoint project. I know the
general rules for this because I've done it before.

For some reason, though, my movie won't play. When I click on it, the
video image turns white and just sits there. It is a .wmv video, but
I also converted it to an .avi, and this format doesn't work either.

Does anyone know of something that I could check that may be hindering
the video's ability to play?

OK... I fixed my problem (sort of). I vaguely remembered reading
somewhere last year that video wouldn't work if it was buried too
deeply beneath subdirectories. So I copied the folder to my root c:
drive, and everything works fine. This is a terrible solution,
however... I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I disseminate the
project.

Hi

Create a pathless link by placing the vid and presentation in the same
folder and reinserting. Then distribute the whole folder. You might want to
make this easy by investing in "Plays for Certain" (free trial)
