Why?Why?Why?Why?

Can anyone tell me as to why I have to re-install Word 2002 every week
or so? It will work fine and then for no obvious reason it will present
the message "That it is not installed for the current user and to
re-install it". I am the ONLY frickin' user of this machine.

I have de-installed and re-installed it so many times that I wonder as
to "Why did I ever purchase this piece of crap"?

This pgm came as part of Works Suite 2004.

There must be a registry hack to stabilize this pgm so that I don't have
to re-install the beast.

From Word, click on Tools | Templates and Addins. If the "Works in
Word Suite Add-in" is currently loaded, try unchecking it here, click on
OK, close Word, and say "yes" if you are prompted to save the Normal.dot
global template. Hopefully this will make the problem goes away.

Hi 'garf'.....The only thing loaded is 'normal' template...no additional
or global.
