That includes me.

My feeling is that if it ain't broke don't fix it. :D Let everyone else iron out the bugs in Windows 7 and change to it only when it becomes absolutely neccessary.

Happiness is a computer system that does exactly what you want of it. ;)

Buy early whilst the price is low, install later when the bugs are squashed.

Niv, Vista is broke ... MS being who they are, had the opportunity to fix it, instead, they carried on with their normal practice ... con the people all the time.

Vista second edition (W7), is, what Vista should have been. It is only point one (6.1) of a version up on Vista. I still have no idea how MS can call it Windows 7 ... maybe they will implement the version number at RTM. ;)

Abar, they ain't no bugs for the same reason as above. :D

If your hardware is as old as XP, then there is no real reason to use the newer software. :p

Mucks he speak truth.

I keep thinking of my system as new (see sig) but it's 32 months old now.

Still, it was current when Vista was released so I guess it warrants the newer OS.

I am excited over and looking forward to using Win 7 but must admit the whole experience will be soured by knowing I've had to pay for Microsoft's incompetence.

I know what you're getting at, Mucks, but,for me, it works just fine and,as I've got the thing, there seems no reason at all to change. :)

Well... I'm going over to W7 because it is truely faster than Vista on my main laptop.
The 2nd reason being that I just ordered another 8 laptops supplied with Vista which means I get 8x W7 licenses and media upon release (free upgrade scheme to encourage people to buy now)
