why sound file plays in pwrpnt custom anmtn, but not n slide sho?

I have a .aif sound file that plays in power points custom animation view and
preview but does not play in the actual slide show presentation.
please help ASAP!

Is the sound's animation set to play automatically or on click?

How did you insert the sound?

What version of PPT are you using?
