why multiple My Documents?

When exploring C drive, it seems there are 2 my documents: one under
documents and settings, another sue sue's documents. Are both necessary?
When copying My Documents to a back-up hard drive, which do I use?

Multiple representations of the same object. Copy from any one of them to
create a backup of your personal files. Shared documents are located in
...\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents

The sue-sue one is an alternative name. Each user account has an actual
folder - C:\Documents and Settings\accountname\My Documents
and when you log in a reference is made so that just 'My Documents'
takes you to your own personal one. And in the left panel of Explorer
that is shown as 'accountname's Documents'
