Why isn't Aero available?

Hi,
The Windows Aero Feature isn't available for me in my Windows Vista. My PC
configuration is:
AMD 2600 64bits
512MB RAM
256MB Video Card - NVIDEA 5500

IAnd i also ran the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, and it said me that my pc
support Windows Aero.

I tried to use my device's driver and the generic NVidea driver of Windows
Vista.

But it still doesn't work. Does someone can help me? For Windows Vista
without Aero isn't Vista :D

Thanks,

Aero needs 1 GB of ram. It's a min standard that is coded into WinSAT. Going
into Appearance, it doesn't have a Aero option?

Aero Mins are:

1ghz cpu
1 gb ram
64mb directx9.0 vid card (gpu must support wddm drivers)

Those were the requirements for a Windows Vista Premium Ready machine. All
that really matters for Aero Glass is the video card.

1 gb of memory isn't a minimum requirement for Aero.

I have only. 512mb of memory, ATI Radeon Mobility x300 w/ only 64mb of video
memory, 1.5ghz pentium m. Definately not a cutting edge machine, but it
supports Aero just fine. I'm not planning on buying a new laptop until late
2007.

I can't wait to try 5536 and see the improvements. Startup in 5384 has been
pretty slow compared to XP. Too bad downloading is so slow. I hate the
"Microsoft File Transfer Manager"

Ok, so by MS'es definition, is Premium-Ready? What full drive WIM backup? I
wish MS would quit making up their own definitions, gets annoying.
