Why is the import and export command grayed out?

I have just activated Outlook 2003 after receiving my repaired computer back
with a newly imaged hard drive. I want to import my settings and mail from
Outlook 2002 on another networked computer. Unfortunately, when I go to the
import and export command under file it is grayed out and inaccessible. Why
is that and how do I fix it? I have manually added one of my email accounts
and received the mail from it thinking that maybe that would help but it has
not.

Why, oh why, do people insist on importing .pst files into Outlook??? Simply copy the file and open it using Outlook-s File->Open->outlook data file.

Probably because the tech who reinstalled your software didn't include
include that feature in the Office install. Remedy it by installing the
Importers and Exporters. Never import a PST. Open it.
