Why is text visible before the on-click effect takes place?

PS

I've just moved to Office 2007 and loaded a slide deck into PowerPoint 2007.
I'm trying to edit the slides for a presentation but I'm getting something
weird happen which didn't happen if Office 2003.

Slide background is Teal. I have 2 blocks of white text on the slide. Block
1 appears with the slide but the Block 2 text should only appear after a
mouse click. Standard stuff so far. BUT the weird thing is that Block 2 text
is appearing on the slide in black and when I click the mouse the text flies
in (correctly) in white. This defeats the point as it means people can see
the Block 2 text (albeit faintly in black) before it actually appears.

I can't figure out how to fix this. Can anybody help?

TIA
PS

If the presentation is something that can be shared with me, could you send
me one of the slides with the problem? I have a couple of theories, but am
not sure if they apply. (And you have me curious.)

Unknot the reply address to reach me and remind me what to look at and I
will get back to both you and the newsgroup with what I find.
