Why is number of recipients restricted in my distribution list

When I try to send to a large distribution group or to 15 or more recipients,
some of them get rejected and the following messgae is posted:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: An Early Pre-Christmas Quiz
Sent: 13/04/2006 12:02 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Marijo XXXXXXX on 13/04/2006 12:03 PM
452 4.5.3 Too many recipients

Tony XXXX on 13/04/2006 12:03 PM
452 4.5.3 Too many recipients
 
That's your mail server giving you that error not Outlook. It (the server)
must be limiting the number of recipients to cut down on spam, etc
