Why is new Office Ultimate formatting my word docs so stupid?

i just installed MS office ultimate and when I type a word doc it
automatically spaces my lines 1.5 instead of 1.0 which is normal and
preferred!!! I HATE it! How do I change the format for all docs, it's
stupid!

Try this... in the Home tab, click Change Styles - Style Set - Word 2003.
Does that provide what you want? If so, then choose Change Styles - Set as
Default.

The default line spacing in Word 2007 is actually 1.15 with 10 points
Spacing After. As Herb says, you can revert to the Word 2003 defaults.
