Why is "Calendar" highlighted in my Folder List (w/ a blue #)?

In my Folder List, "Calendar" is highlighted and has a blue (5) after it, as
if I have 5 new messages (just like "Inbox" is highlighted when I have new,
unread messages). But what would be unread in my calendar? Can't seem to
get the number to change either -- its been "(5)" for a few months.
 
Could be unread meeting requests or something of the sort. Try using a list
view of the Calendar folder to find the bold items
