why I cannot use Outlook Express to read hotmail email?

I am using Windows XP. Recently I cannot synchronize my
email of Hotmail account. I have several email accounts,
others are working well, but Hotmail email accounts
doesn't work in Outlook Express. I cannot download
Hotmail email by Outlook Express. But they can be read in
web-based throuth www.hotmail.com or MSN Messenger. What
is the problem with my Outlook Express?

I am having the same problem cannot synchronize, send or receive hotmail. It seems like it started after installing the 4 latest security updates for XP pro. Can't access hotmail from a correctly configured OE. Deleted the account and added it back, same problem only now it will not download the folders.

XP Pro SP1 all the updates

That is a good question since many people do it all the time. What happened
when you set up the account? You need to provide more information. Remove
all of the accounts and then document the step by step process you executed
to get to where you are.
