why extracting Acronis TrueImage from bootable CD-ROM not possible (e.g. with IsoBuster) ?

Hi,

I burned Acronis TrueImage to a CD-ROM(bootable)and unsuccessfully
tried to extract the ("program files") with IsoBuster to the
harddisk/other CD-ROM.

The purpose of that "procedure" is, that I dont like to have
an additional "tool-CD", instead I would like to "copy" the
bootable Acronis-Image to my own bootable tool/emergency CD.

Is that really not possible(of course Acronis try to make
it difficult)?

Any tip is appreciated very much,

Bill

Do you have Acronis True Image installed on your hard drive? You
should be able to view the image you created on the CD and extract
individual files/folders from the image.

As far as creating your own emergency bootable CD and placing the copy
of the image you created on it, you will need a program such as Nero
or EasyCD. But I really see no difference since True Image creates a
bootable CD and will restore the image(s) directly from the bootable
CD back to your hard drive.
