Why email addresses have no Properties?

Hi

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2002, SP3. Some emails I receive simply show
next to "From" field the name of person (or email address) who sent the
message. This appears in plain text only, and does not have any Properties,
i.e. if try to double click on From field entry, no Properties brings up. If
try to Reply, To field entry will just be in text format and has no valid
email address, so unable to Reply.

I don't know why this happens with some emails, but not all? With other
emails, each address/person name will have Properties. Don't know what
setting needs to be applied to get all receiving email addresses to have
their Properties shown up.

Thanks

If you highlight the name in the To or From field and then right click do
you get an option for properties?

No I don't get an option for properties. It's in text format, so if highlight
and right click all I get is Copy, Select All. Not all messages have this
problem, and not sure it has got anything to do with Message format?

Are these addresses resolved (underlined and clickable)?

Where do these email addresses show up? Are they in a text file? What version of Outlook are you using?

YOu need to provide a lot more basic information before anyone can help you out - like where the addresses are that you are trying to see their properties, why you think it should work from that location, and why you are not using the contact record to resolve the properties.
