why does xp return to default settings when comp restarts?????????

everytime you turn on the computer xp returns to default settings, it wont
save them, everything you customize is gone, , folders, screensaver, and it
moves everything into program files. what can be done to correct this?

Whenever you make changes in settings of any program you MUST
click Apply first before you click OK to SET and SAVE the settings. Got it?
