Why does the .idb file hang open in access 2k after user log out?

Does the user have delete rights to that directory? Are they logging
off or just shutting down their computer?
 
Yes, for delete rights and they are logging off.

Which LDB file? A2K doesn't release the workgroup
file or any library files until you close Access.

Network files may take up to a few seconds to go:
Windows doesn't release files immediately.

yeah; mdb is just crap

use sql server or msde; im jsut tired of having to be called in to
reboot a file server at 3am.. i mean.. there is a better way; it is
called MSDE or SQL Server
