it sounds like the transport is hanging. is this outlook 2002 or earlier? it
hung easier than 2003 - it's hard to say what's causing it, but restarting
it should be enough to fix it, as long as outlook.exe closes completely.
Oh - there is just one outlook.exe listed in processes in task manager? if
not, then it's possible something causes it to hang and restart - but it
didn't close completely.
