Why does Outlook 2003 crash every time an email is closed?

G

Guest

Every time a mail is closed in Outlook 2003-whether I close it myself or the
program closes it (eg to move it to another folder)-the program quita
unexpectedly. Anyone have any ideas why?

Not without any details.
What is the exact error?
What is being logged to the Event Viewer?

It is the generic MS Error "This program has encountered a problem and needs
to close" etc.

Event viewer shows:

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8010.0, stamp 43d16d53,
faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault
address 0x0013f264.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Clicking the link takes me to the help and support centre, which eventually
leads me here!

It is running on an Acer laptop (details available if required) which is
otherwise completely stable, and had no problems in running office 2000 (pre
format). Office 2003 is up to date. Please let me know if you need any more
info.

Thanks for your time.

Could you copy the entire Event including the header? Just press the copy
button after opening the event.
What add-ins do you have installed? Does disabling them solve your issue?
