Send/Receive Problem Outlook 2003

Outlook 2003, after working with no problem for 3+ years, now crashes every
time I hit Send/Receive, with no error message other than "Outlook has
encountered a problem and must close." Of course it also automatically sends
an error report message to Microsoft (probably 20 by now). If it was an
internet connection problem I'd know how to deal with that, but the program
just stops running and closes without any other choice.

A few general questions/suggestions:
- run ScanPST.EXE on your PST file to see if it got damaged/corrupted
recently
- have you installed anything recently?

I ran ScanPST and it repaired 2 items, but did not solve the problem. I
checked my e-mail accounts and 2 of them were also not able to send a test
message. I have not loaded any programs on my machine for several months.

Have you tried removing & readding the accounts?
