Why does my email auto complete not work when I restart outlook?

Auto complete works if I copy my address book everytime I open outlook, when
I restart outlook again it does not work. I have tried to reset the outlook
nickname cache but can not find the *NK2 file when I do a search.

Clarify your post. "If I copy my address book evertime I open Outlook"
makes no sense because Outlook has no address book and autocompletion
does not use your Contacts data.
You must list your symptoms accurately if we are to make a diagnosis.

assuming you are using ol2002/2003, it's a hidden file in C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. You can easily access
it by pasting %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook in the
Address bar of your browser or Windows Explorer.

Delete the *.nk2 and make sure outlook is cloing properly - use
http://www.sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout to help you see if it closed
(via a tray icon).

Or, more simply %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook
