Why does Frontpage quit when I update a dynamic web template?

Everytime I try to update a dynamic web template, Frontpage displays and
error and closes. I've tried installing updates but nothing works.
 
This will happen if you've only opened the DWT to edit without first
opening your web.
Make sure you open your web and "then" the DWT in FrontPage.
