Why does browser close?

Why is it that when I go to some websites (for example:
www.nbc5i.com) my internet browser automatically closes
itself. The internet does not disconnect, the window just
closes.

I would GREATLY appreciate any help or advice!

We are experiencing the same problem. Browser opens with
home page but IE6 closes without warning (no beep is
played). We are all running Windows 2000 SP4 and the
latest IE.
Regretfully Henri's suggestion (posted for the same
problem reported by someone else) didn't work for us (we
are all using the default configuration which looks
exactly as Henri's description).
Am speaking for Peter in Salzburg (Austria), Rainer in
Starnberg (Germany), Ciro in Bogota (Colombia) and
Mauricio, Irene and myself in Caracas (Venezuela). Hope
someone our there can help, this is driving us crazy!

Henri Leboeuf's suggestion: Try this: tools/internet
options/advanced/Microsoft VM - only tick the JIT compiler
box and leave the Java boxes un checked (default) Henri
