Sound stays on when browser closed

I have found that the sound from a webcast carries on when the browser is
closed. It even carries over a broadcast from a different website or page.
Eg receiving instructions, click onto subsequent page to hear another
broadcast and receive sound bleedover. Closing first browser does not stop
it. Closing ALL browser windows seems to be the only to stop it. Any other
ideas????

What media player is being used for these webcasts? What version of Windows
and IE are you using?
