why does a logo image shows up as a placeholder in email signatur.

When I design my email signature with a company logo, the logo shows up as
simply a placeholder in the message.

What am I doing worng.
 
Hard to say without further details. What version of Outlook? What type of
mail account? What is your default format? How are you creating the
signature?
